History of production in Europe:
- 1992,
Toyota has started production of Avensis and Corolla in the UK plant.
- 1994, Start of operation of Turkey plant in Adapazarı, which produces Corolla Sedan and Wagon.
- 2001,
Start of operation of France plant, which produces Yaris.
- 2002, Toyota Turkey started exporting to Europe.
- 2002, TMMP starts production of transmission & engine.
- 2005, TMIP starts production of diesel engine.
