Environment Activity of Toyota Turkiye

Environment Month Campaign has been carried out by Toyota and affiliates every year in June. Toyota Turkiye has been performing several environmental consciousness activities for its employees.

An environment activity has been realised on 18 June 2011, Saturday at Sapanca Forest with the participation of TMMT employees, including some management members, LCE & Advisor to President Mr.Hiroshi Adachi who was stand on the participation list.

An environment activity, organised by TMMT Environment Volunteers, was consisting of environment clean up, trekking in a nature and photo taking. Totally 64 employees joined to the activity voluntary basis.

The purpose of the activity is to take people’s attention to the environment issues and raising awareness on environmental friendly life style. TMMT President & CEO Mr.Orhan Ozer said:”Humans affect the environment negatively. It can be some negative impacts through some personal habits and attitudes of people. The severe effects of industrialization can be minimized thanks to the proper investments and countermeasures.
 
As TMMT, we have an environmental friendly manufacturing operations and we believe that TMMT is a model plant not only in our region but also in the country. We apply the necessary technologies in line with the global Toyota environmental policies and sustainable development concept in manufacturing processes.
 
Besides, with our Eco Tour activity, we invite children to our plant to see our environmental friendly manufacturing with the aim of enhancing the environmental and ecological awareness of children in Sakarya”.
