Management Change at Toyota Turkiye

Sakarya — Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkiye Inc. (TMMT) has announced the managerial change at the company. Orhan Ozer has been appointed as the new President & CEO of TMMT, while the current President & CEO Tamer Unlu has been appointed to a new position as Senior Advisor. Takeshi Marusawa has also been appointed as Lead Coordinating Executive and Advisor to the President. The changes will be effective as of July 1st, 2010 after the Board of Directors Meeting.

Orhan Ozer was born in 1957 in Bursa. After completing his high school education in Galatasaray High School, he graduated from Middle East Technical University Faculty of Business Administration. After several managerial experiences in the private sector, he joined TMMT (Toyotasa) in 1995 as Vice President Finance and Administration. In December 2002, he transferred to Toyota Motor Europe in Brussels as Vice President Information Systems, Accounting & Finance. In July 2008, he was appointed Senior Vice President of TMMT. Mr.Ozer is married and has two children.

                                                                   

Commenting on his appointment, Orhan Ozer said: “I am honoured to be appointed as President & CEO of TMMT. Mr. Takeshi Marusawa appointed Lead Coordinating Executive and Advisor to President of TMMT, was born in 1962 in Japan. After his graduation from Kobe University, Bachelor of Business Management, he joined to Toyota in Overseas Parts Division in 1986. Between 1994 and 2002 he worked in TMC-Japan in several positions. In 2003, he transferred to Toyota Motor Europe and worked there till the end of 2005. In 2006, he returned back to Japan to the Global Project Planning Division. In March 2008, he started to work for Toyota Motor Italy as Senior Coordinating Executive by July 2008. Mr.Marusawa joined to TMMT in August 2008 as Executive Vice President. He is married and has one child.

TMMT, which is one of the Turkiye’s leading exporters, manufactures the Verso and Auris models. TMMT employs 3,000 people and represents a total investment of €1.2 billion. TMMT continues to its contribution to economy and society through its exportation which is more than 95% of its production to mainly in European countries.
