Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkiye (TMMT) announced that Erdoğan Şahin has been appointed to TMMT’s President & CEO position, effective 1st of January 2022. Erdoğan Şahin replaces Toshihiko Kudo who will return to Toyota Motor Company (TMC).

Born in 1965 in Elazig, Erdogan Şahin graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Aeronautical Engineering in 1987. He started his Toyota career in 1992 as a Quality Engineer in the newly established Toyotasa organization. After two years of training in Toyota Japan, he took part in the team that made the production preparations of the 7th generation Corolla, the first Toyota model produced in Turkiye in 1994.

Erdoğan Şahin, who took an active roles during all new models production period in the following years and assumed senior responsibilities in different departments of TMMT. He appointed as the Brussels based Toyota Motor Europe Logistics Director position in 2012, which will last for five years.

After this assignment, Erdoğan Şahin continued his career as Production Vice President of TMMT in 2017. He is still carrying out the Project Chief Leadership position at the Toyota Czechia Plant (TMMCZ), where he was appointed as of August 2020.

He will begin his new assignment as President and CEO of TMMT. Mr. Erdogan Şahin is married and has one child.
