Production of C segment sedan by Toyota Turkiye

• C segment sedan will be produced at Toyota Turkiye alongside Verso
• Mass production will start within the 2 years

Sakarya — Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkiye announces that a C segment sedan will be produced at its manufacturing plant in Sakarya within 2 years.
 
Mr. Orhan Ozer, President and CEO of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkiye, said: ”I am happy to announce the production of a C segment sedan by Toyota Turkiye. We have an experience of sedan production between the years of 1994 and 2006 with Corolla. This result demonstrates the trust and confidence to our quality production and dedicated efforts of employees, suppliers and all our business partners. We will continue to contribute to Turkey’s economy and society”.
 
Additional investment will be around 150 Million Euro for the new C segment sedan project. Toyota Turkey also plans to hire approximately 400 people to the Sakarya plant. The C-segment sedans will be built alongside the Verso models, the other vehicle made by Toyota Turkiye. It will bring additional production volume to TMMT, maximising its capacity utilisation and increasing local production in Europe.
 
In line with Pan EU optimisation and localisation of C segment production strategy in Europe, while C segment sedan production will be introduced at Toyota Turkiye, C segment hatchback production will also be consolidated at Toyota UK.
