Toyota Turkiye-Sakarya Governorship Collaboration – High School & Junior High School Technical Project Competition

The fifth technical project competition has been realised with the collaboration of Toyota Turkiye and Sakarya Governorship National Education Directorate. Award ceremony has been performed at AFA hall. 78 students of 40 projects on environment and automation areas and 2 schools were awarded by Toyota Turkiye among 305 projects and 600 students. Toyota Turkiye President & CEO Mr.Tamer Ünlü , Executive Vice President Mr. Takeshi Marusawa and Corporate Strategy Planning Divison General Manager Mr.Hajime Yamamoto joined to the award ceremony.

In his speech Mr.Marusawa said: “Five years ago, we started to apply technical project competition. We’ve had more than 1000 projects successfully produced by students over the past five years. Our purpose with this activity is to support and encourage young students to create new ideas.I really appreciate the effort and support by teachers and families to provide such an opportunity for young students to challenge to new ideas. And I would like to thank to all students who joined to our technical project competition and also congratulate all students who are receiving awards. My appreciation to the Sakarya Governorship and National Education Directorate for their excellent support & collaboration”.

78 students who are placed in top 10 in the competition were awarded. First grade received laptop, second grade received desktop and third grade received digital camera. Successful 2 schools were also awarded with projection machine.

At the end of the award ceremony, students visited Toyota Turkiye and found a chance to know Toyota Plant well and took ideas and advises from Toyota Turkiye responsible members. A lot of Toyota Turkiye employees involved to the activity.
