TMMT Achieved 2 Millionth Vehicle Production Milestone

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkiye (TMMT) which is one of the Turkey’s leading exporters achieved to the production of two-millionth vehicle at its manufacturing plant in Adapazari since 1994.
 
TMMT is pleased to declare Turkiye’s first crossover and hybrid vehicle Toyota C-HR rolled off the production lines as being 2 millionth vehicle of the plant.
 
Last year in November, with 3-shift production start, annual production capacity of TMMT became 280,000 units. With the addition of more than 2.000 new members, total number of employees became around 5.500.
 
While TMMT became the first plant outside Japan to build Toyota C-HR based on Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA), also TMMT became the highest production capacity plant among other Toyota plants in Europe. Total investment of TMMT reached to 2.3 billion US $ and total export amount realised as 25 billion US $. Currently Adapazari plant is producing 3 models on the same line which are Toyota C-HR, Corolla and Verso.
 
Hiroshi Kato, President and CEO of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkiye, said: “Since the first Corolla we produced in 1994, we have a lot of achievements & successes in the 23 years, there are also lots of challenges. It is very meaningful that this milestone is achieved with Toyota C-HR which is the vehicle of the firsts. Thanks to the contribution of our employees, suppliers and all business partners, we achieved this production level”. Kato added that TMMT quality level recognized as one of the best among overseas plants. TMMT will continue to value added production for Turkish economy”.
