TMMT Health And Safety Month Celebrated

TMMT celebrates every January as ‘Health and Safety Month’. Within the scope of this month, informative activities are being carried out by the Health and Safety Department in order to increase the occupational safety and disaster awareness of employees throughout the factory. TMMT, which organized a Health and Safety theater for employees last year, and this year raising awareness on disaster management job security and online seminars, organized various competitions and activities for increasing awareness and with Health and Safety slogan contest.

Tmmt, which aims to have information and awareness about safety and health program of its employees, carries out health and safety activities for its employees in Sakarya production facilities. Through the events that take place within the scope of this month, employees are provided to have information, as well as to take an active role with the competitions and awards organized.

"Disaster Awareness" seminar by Provincial Disaster Specialist Yasin Savaş, "Fire Awareness" seminar by City Fire Department Expert Beytullah Temiz and "Curiosities about Covid-19" given by Provincial Public Health Specialist Selin Tunalı Çokluk, online via Microsoft Teams application. TMMT employees, who have information on important issues, had the opportunity to ask questions they were curious about during the seminars.

A total of 3104 slogan suggestions were given by the employees at the Health and Safety slogan contest. The best 4 slogans were presented to the owners by Necdet Şentürk, senior vice president of Toyota Motor Manufacturıng Turkiye

As a result of the evaluations made taking into account many different Health and Safety criteria such as accident numbers, near accidents and occupational safety recommendations in 2020, TMMT body factory was selected as the “factory with the best Health and Safety Performance”. Due to their success, Toyota Motor Manufacturıng Turkey Vice President Levent Aydın presented the "Factory with the Best Work Safety Performance" plaque to the Body Department.

TMMT employees have started to apply their experiences and knowledge gained through the trainings and seminars they have received with high awareness in their work areas.

TMMT, which adds great value to Turkiye's economy with its production and export figures, will continue to work on Health and Safety.
