TMMT Raised Awareness with Environment Month

During the Environment Week on June 5 – 11, TMMT organized various events together with the Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Environment and Urbanization Commission and the Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization.

In addition to reflecting its global plans to promote environmental awareness to the whole world, TMMT drew attention to raising environmental awareness with the events, activities and seminars held during June, which is considered the environment month at Toyota factories.

Environment Month Painting Competition

In addition to its efforts to encourage environmental passion, TMMT also aims to increase environmental awareness with the activities it carries out during the environment month.

In this context, the World Environment Day Themed Inter-Primary School Painting Competition Award Ceremony was held, supported by SATSO, Sakarya Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization, Sakarya Provincial Police Department, Sakarya Provincial Directorate of National Education and TMMT. Bicycles were given to the top 3 students in the painting competition.

Environment Month Gifts Distributed

With the aim of raising environmental awareness, TMMT distributed a total of 2000 cloth bags and information brochures, together with a coloring set and picture book for children. Gifts were given to the vehicles at a busy intersection in Sakarya with the Police Department.

Sapanca shores are now cleaner

TMMT, which continues to take more efficient steps with sustainable activities in the Environment month, organized an environmental cleaning event by collecting and separating wastes in Sapanca Lake in order to raise awareness.SATSO Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Yüksel Avşar, Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization Branch Managers Mustafa Yurten and Hasan Şahin and employees of the institution, SATSO Environment and Urbanization Commission President Tuncer Acan, Commission Assistants Gamze Ergene and Fatih Boztepe, Commission Members Çetin Kahya, and Seda Tumay, students and many environmental volunteers participated.

Contributing to the collection of accumulated and overlooked garbage, TMMT team created awareness in order to transfer the “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” principle to future generations. Environmental trainings were provided for the employees in cooperation with the Emergency Management Presidency. TMMT AŞ General Manager and CEO Toshihiko Kudo said, “It is our responsibility to leave a healthier world for our tomorrows with the measures we will take today. Let's take a step together for our future generations," and invited everyone to protect nature more against the environmental problems we are in.

During Environment Month, TMMT wants to continue its efforts to protect biodiversity and natural resources, to increase environmental awareness through environmental trainings and activities, and to create a sustainable future in line with the 2050 Environmental Goals.
