New Toyota Corolla achieved 5-stars in new, tougher 2019 EuroNCAP testing.

New Toyota Corolla launched earlier this year at TMMT. It has achieved the maximum 5-star vehicle safety rating in the latest and tougher 2019 Euro NCAP test results.

The New Corolla achieved excellent results in all 4 Euro NCAP categories which are adult occupant with % 95 successfully, child occupant % 84 successfully, vulnerable road users % 86 successfully and safety assist % 77 successfully.

The Toyota Corolla’s crash test performance reflect the fundamental strength of their Toyota New Global Architecture-based platform and body, which make good use of strategic reinforcements and use of high-strenght to absorb and channel impact forces away from the cabin.

As part of Royota’s commitment to democratize advanced safety equipment, the new second generation of Toyota Safety Sense is fitted as standard across the full Corolla ranges. This safety pack includes a pre-collision system (PCS) with pedestrian and cyclist recognition, adaptive cruise control (ACC), lane departure alert (LDA) with steering control, automatic high beam (AHB) and road sign assist (RSA)

TMMT President & CEO Toshihiko Kudo said ‘‘ We appreciate to our dedicated and passionate employees, our suppliers and our partners for this great success. This achievement is a clear testimony of Toyota’s car safety. We are glad to export our safety and quality vehicles to 148 countries all around world.’’
