Toyota Otomotiv Toyota Motor Manufacturıng Turkiye Demands 2,500-Person Workforce From Işkur
With the normalization in Toyota Motor Manufacturıng Turkiye, which hires contract manufacturing employees every year and some of the recruited employees are given staff opportunities. Within the scope of supporting qualified workforce with short-term adaptation and certification trainings, a contract was signed between the project stakeholders with the program in which Governor Çetin Oktay Kaldirim also participated. With the contract, 1000 new employees will be employed in April-May and 200 new employees each month in the following months.
Toyota Motor Manufacturıng Turkiye, one of the most important production bases in Europe, aims to continue its successful production, exports and high quality level by taking 2,500 contract employees until the end of the year. A signing ceremony was held with the participation of Governor Çetin Oktay Kaldırım, senior vice president of TMMT Necdet Şentürk, President of Sakarya Chamber of Commerce and Industry Akgun Altug, Sakarya University of Applied Sciences Professor Dr. Mehmet Sarıbiyık and IŞKUR provincial director Tekin Kaya, who are the stakeholders of the project.
With the normalization process, TMMT plans to recruit approximately 1000 contracted employees in April and May. For those who will be hired in TMMT within the scope of Vocational Training Development Project (MEGİP), 3-week orientation and after vocational training, trainees will be provided with the opportunity to be contracted employees for 6 months. In addition, if some of these purchases are deemed appropriate after 6 months of work, they will also have the opportunity to be permanent employees in the company. The occupational groups to be trained for recruitment are; Announced as Quality Controller, Auto Assembler, Spot Welder, Paint Operator and Plastic Products Manufacturer.
Governor Çetin Oktay Kaldırım drew attention to the issue of controlled employment at the ceremony and stated that the effect of the coronavirus epidemic continues, the risk will disappear if the measures are followed, and that the necessary sensitivity should be shown to controlled employment. Governor also thanked TMMT for demanding workforce from işkur and he wished the contract to be beneficial.
TMMT Senior Vice President Necdet Şentürk, “TMMT exports 85 percent of the vehicles it produces to nearly 150 countries. The production facility in Sakarya occupies a superior and special position among Toyota factories in terms of quality and many parameters not only in Europe but also in the world. In terms of capacity, it is Toyota's factory with the highest production volume in Europe. More than 5,000 people are employed in our factory, where Corolla Sedan and C-HR models with hybrid version are produced,” he said.
In addition, Necdet Şentürk also expressed his gratitude to the stakeholders and Işkur for their support for the project for the 2,500-person workforce support planned to be taken for our production and export target this year.
Participant conditions and Application Form
Job seekers who want to participate in the vocational education project; under the age of 30, at least a high school graduate, must reside in Sakarya, Kocaeli or Düzce. Certification and qualification documents will in fact be instrumental in reducing unemployment as well as increasing productivity and competitiveness. In addition to providing only qualified workforce to the industrial organizations in our city with our students, we will continue to support our industry and economy at an increasing rate with our innovation and AR-GE studies brought about by university-industry cooperation ”.
