14th Ekiden Race was Organized at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkiye

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkiye (TMMT) held traditional "Ekiden" race on 15th May. This year, 1.165 runners - 111 teams participated in the event, which has been realizing since 2003. In Ekiden race 2016, "A team" from TMMT got champion title, being followed by Yazaki team and Sango team.
 
Ekiden race is organized by TMMT aiming to strengthen teamwork and increase motivation of employees.
 
Ekiden, which means long distance race, was born in Japan in 1917. One team consists of deveral runners and they hand over a kind of belt named "tasuki" to each other in Ekiden. "Eki" means station in Japanese, and "den" means handing to the other one.
