Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkiye Hosted Traditional Iftar Dinner

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkiye hosted a traditional iftar dinner on 23rd June 2016, at Toyota plant in Sakarya.
  
Local authorities and local media representatives, and Toyota's employees joined the ramadan dinner which was hosted by Hiroshi Kato, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkiye President & CEO.
 
Mr.Kato made a speech and said, "  Thank you for sharing your precious time to be with us. I wish Ramadan month would be good for everyone.
As all you know, currently we have been producing Corolla and Verso. We will be starting to produce a new 3rd model, Toyota C-HR at the end of this year. This new model will be first crossover and first hybrid to be produced in Turkiye.
 
Our capacity increased to 280 thousand from 150 thousand. In 2017, we are planning to produce our models by using our full capacity.Together with an investment of additional € 350 mil, our total investment amount reached € 1.7 bil.
 
Also recruitment and training activities which are very intensively towards our new 3rd model, C-HR mass production. Most of the new members have already been hired, but the recruitment process will go on by end of this year. We still need to hire new members.
 
Equipment upgrades, new equipment installation and extension of buildings have almost been completed. In the second half of year, we are planning to complete almost all our preparations. At the moment, everything is going on in parallel with our plans.Our production trials have already started since the beginning of the year. Till now, we produced around 100 units of C-HR for trial purpose."
