TMMT Transformed its plant tour activity into New Corporate Social Responsibility Project
With the purpose of being a good corporate citizen in its region, TMMT improved plant visit activity by transforming it as a corporate social responsibility project. Within this scope, TMMT agreed with 3 Non Governmental Organizations in Turkiye. Hereupon, companies will donate to Darüşşafaka Society, The Foundation for Children with Leukemia (LOSEV) and Turkish Marine Environment Protection Association (TURMEPA) according to their request (standard or extended plant tours) and participation number.
Turkiye’s one of the most important company’s TMMT started to operate its technical plant tour requests as a corporate social responsibility project. TMMT, chose to collaborate 3 NGOS which are through education, health and environments themes. In accordance with TMMT schedule, companies are included this project, after donating one of the specified NGO according to their request. Schools and government agencies continue to visit TMMT plant free of charge. Within the context of plant tours, companies takes the opportunity to see body, paint and assembly shops. In addition, Toyota managers make presentations about the requested topics by the companies to share detail information about Toyota production system. 50 different companies donated 226.700 TL to LOSEV (Foundation for Children with Leukemia), TURMEPA (Turkish Marine Environment Protection Association) and Darussafaka Society on behalf of TMMT in 2019. Due to this donation project, almost 1000 students’ educational cost, 8 leukemia children’s medical expenses were covered and 12 million liters seawater were kept clean.
