Women’s Touch to the Future Project

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Türkiye, which supports gender equality for a sustainable future and aims to improve the role of women in business, is launching a new social responsibility project. The "Women's Touch to the Future" project, which supports the empowerment of women and underlines the importance of clean agriculture, aims to ensure that women also participate in working life from home and shape the future of themselves and their children.

TMMT supports gender equality, quality education, climate change and the reduction of inequalities, which are one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and continues to work in this regard. TMMT aims to contribute to the empowerment of women farmers with the "Women's Touch to the Future" project, while making the world of tomorrow worth living in terms of food security.

As part of the "Women's Touch to the Future" project, a cooperation protocol agreement was signed with the District Directorate of Agriculture, the Sakarya University of Applied Sciences (SUBU) Faculty of Agriculture and Sodexo. In accordance with the protocol, 10 female farmers who met criteria, received training from SUBU in a classroom environment. In the greenhouse set up by TMMT and donated to the school, women farmers were joined training on clean and sustainable agriculture. The greenhouses, set up in their own areas, were donated by TMMT to the women farmers participating in the project and provided agricultural material support such as seeds, seedlings, fertilizers and medicines. The products with the harvest will be collected and the partner of the project, Sodexo will buy and process the products and present them to the employees in the cafeterias of the TMMT plant.
